grinder shop in the state, Nardelli's Grinders; visits Drescher's, the oldest
restaurant in Waterbury (1868) known for its fine German food; does a mini tour
of three of Waterbury's best Italian restaurants: Nino's, Diorio's and La Tavola;
grabs a 12-inch hot dog at the first place in the state to offer foot longs, Frankie's;
samples the critically acclaimed Portuguese restaurant, Lisboa, where he watches them
prepare an entire pig; and grabs a slice as Bacco's takes on Domenick & Pia's in a
pizza taste test showdown. In addition, Hawkins goes on a humorous tour of the
Timexpo Timex Group Museum which houses memorabilia from the former Waterbury
Clock Company and goes inside for a look at the new, 30 million dollar renovation
of the historic Palace Theater.
